Layout: "Bad to the Bone"

What a priceless photo! Caleb is so cool and - bad! He's quite the character! And so is our new addition, Riley. We adopted him back in October. He was a bit thin when we got him and we think he may have been abused / neglected. Now, he's made a huge turnaround and spends his days following us around and checking on everyone every few minutes. Must be a tiring job!

Layout: "Copycat"

This is Logan's 15 month layout - technically. But most of what he was starting to do at this age was copying his littlest big brother, Thurman (maybe not such a great idea).

Layout: "Purmie 2.5"

This is Thurman's 2.5 year old layout. I came up with the title because he calls himself "Purmie", then I found this great kit that worked perfectly for it. Since Duane's been getting some OT because of the weather, I splurged and actually BOUGHT a few boyish kits because so many of them are more on the feminine side.

Layout: "How Bizarre"

I was shocked when I took my 14 year old for his routine eye exam and was told he had a cataract! He had surgery to remove it along with a lens implant and recovered quickly. And even though he wasn't thrilled to have the surgery, he's glad he did because he can see a whole lot better now! I would have never thought to use these colors together, but I love how it turned out!

Layout: "Splash"

I don't have many layouts with pictures of me - because there aren't many pictures of me! Except for a rare occasion, I'm the only picture taker in the house. The only reason I used these ones of my swimming is because they are from the waist up - LOL. It was a blast swimming with all the kids even though the little ones weren't too sure about it! I can't wait to do it again!

Two Devilish Layouts: "Little Devil" and "Devilicious"

I did Thurman's "Little Devil" layout first and loved it so much, I did Abigail's Halloween page using the same layout but with different colors and elements. For Thurman's I again used Kristin Aagard Design's brand new kit called "Jailbird". Don't you love the horns, tail and pitchfork that came in the kit? Of course, Thurman isn't really a devil, but he does get into quite a bit of mischief and this layout is about a few particularly outstanding incidents. For Abigail's layout, I used a kit by Wicked Scrapz called "Devilicious". Even though she was techically a vampire for Halloween, I loved how this kit went with her costume. And vampires really are kind of devilish anyway, aren't they?

Layout: "Jailbird"

I saw this brand new kit by Kristin Aagard Designs this morning. It's called "Jailbird" and being that I have 5 boys (and 1 girl) who get into more than their fair share of mischief, I knew I couldn't pass this one up! I love Kristin's designs - they are always so adorable! I wasn't planning on redoing Christian's Halloween layout, but since he was dressed as a prisoner, I had to redo it using this kit!

Layout: "Apple of My Eye"

This is Logan's one year layout for the family album - whew, I am finally really getting some caught up! Of course, before I get fully caught up, there are a bunch more "to do" layouts added to my list. I am looking forward to doing an updated "Book of Me" if I ever get fully caught up with the other albums (wishful thinking probably).

I am finally starting to get caught up on our family album. This is Thurman's two year layout.

Layout: "Logan"

This was a title page I made for Logan's first album with photos from his birth all the way up until he was 9 months old. My, how he's grown! Time goes way too fast! I used a brand new kit from Un-Leash-ed Scraps called "Dino Friends (Revised)". I love the new colors and elements!

Layout: "Strawberry Blonde"

Okay, one more with the same layout! Just because I loved how it turned out with these fabulous girly colors! I don't get a chance to do girly layouts often compared to the number of boy layouts to do, so I get excited when I get a chance to do something this pretty! The kit I used is called "Heart's Wish" and it's by Miss Kim Designs.

Layout: "Crabby Fingers"

This was a re-do of an earlier layout I did of Logan's pincer grip. It's so cute the way he picks up small things. It reminds me of lobster claws. I wasn't quite happy with the original layout and planned to redo it eventually. When I saw this adorable freebie kit from Mommy Me Time Scrapper and Mom's Unique Possibilities called "To the Sea", I knew it would be perfect for this layout. The colors are perfect for a boy layout and the lobster is just too cute!

Layout: "Thurman"

Oh my gosh, I am SO late with this one! Where did the time go? This was a CT layout done with Shanmomto4 Design's kit called "Cool and Collected". I love the colors! I just did a title page for Thurman's newest album since this kit makes a great boy or girl kit!

Layout: "Wild Times at Lakemont Park"

This is the family layout for our trip to Lakemont Park. I love love love this kit! The colors and embellishments are fantastic! It's brand new from Un-Leash-ed Scraps ("Mighty Jungle").

Layout: "Reward: Missing Hair"

When Duane says he's giving someone a haircut, RUN... DO NOT WALK the other direction! Of course, it wasn't his fault, though. The poor, defenseless clippers got the blame for Logan's new buzz do. I used a cute kit called "Snips and Snails". It was a collab from Flower Scraps by Deanna Jones and JW Digi Scraps.

Layout: "Just Play"

This is (finally) Logan's layout from Lakemont Park. It was a tough one since he really wasn't big enough to do much of anything there. Still, I thought it turned out pretty good. This kit was called "Blingalicious" and it was a freebie collab from Digital Candy.

Layout: "Riley"

Introducing our adorable new Pug, Riley! I have always adored Pugs and we were given the opportunity to adopt this sweet little boy. He turns three this month. He is the sweetest, most lovable dog - he follows me everywhere and gets up to make his rounds every few minutes to check on the rest of the family, too. He's just too darn cute! For this layout, I used a brand new kit by Shanmomto4 Designs called "Autumn Breeze".

Layout: "Oops!"

Yep, he did it again! Just a couple weeks after getting 6 stitches to a nice gash on his leg, Thurman fell out of bed and ended up with 3 more stitches to his head! Here's hoping he's done with the injuries for now! I used a really cute kit called "Doctor's Orders" by Pamela Donnis Designs (I splurged and actually BOUGHT this one - a rarity for me)!

Layout: "Super Sweet Stylist"

Thurman watches and tries to copy everything we do. Here, he is trying to fix his own hair and Logan's hair. I'm sort of thinking he just wanted an excuse to make Logan wet, though. I used a great freebie collab kit called "Fresh" by Digi Designs by Nicole, Shel Belle Scraps and Stolen Moments.

Layout: "Brothers"

We got portraits done of our two little ones together and wanted to do a special layout with them. I love how this turned out using a fabulous free blog train kit from Daydreamer DesignWorks. It's called "Daydream Believer". The colors are wonderful for a whimsical, fun layout. The templates are by ChrissyW.

Layout: "Celebrations of Very Special Lives"

This is the family scrapbook layout for everyone's 2009 birthdays (except mine, which isn't until November). I love this new kit by Shanmomto4 Designs called "Dreaming of You". Purples and greens are one of my favorite color combinations!

Layout: "Little Chatter Monkey"

Thurman is going through that "language explosion" phase and is picking up new words every day - unfortunately, a couple of them aren't good words - wonder where he got those ones from? **pointing at hubby behind his back** I especially love how he says his siblings' names. And the way he calls himself "Purmie" is just too cute!

I used the "Going Bananas" kit by Kay Miller Designs (one of the few kits I actually bought - and at least I got my money's worth - I've used it several times).

Layout: "Love Fights Fair"

I was doing The Love Dare challenge from the movie "Fireproof" and I came up with this layout to remind my hubby about the "fighting rules" we agreed to so that hopefully we will keep things from escalating to a damaging level. I printed it, we signed it, I framed it and then hung it on the wall in our room. I used a kit called "Celebrate Love" by Shel Belle Scraps.

PS - "The Love Dare" is an awesome book about love. Even if you don't want to do the daily challenges, the 40 days worth of devotional reading is more than worth the few dollars the book costs. Every chapter is just a few pages and it's all about love and marriage and gives new insights into both.

Layout: "Stitched on the 4th of July"

Duane and I both worked the 4th of July, so my mom and dad watched the kids for us. Thurman snuck into the shed behind Gabriel and cut his leg on something (we still have no idea what). He ended up getting six stitches! I left work to go be with him, but by the time I got there, he was all done. Mom said he did great. We had to change his bandage daily and he was fascinated by his "boo boo". When we went to get the stitches out, it was a different story. Two of them had become embedded in his skin and it took trips to 3 places before they finally were able to remove them. Yikes! I used a kit called "Let Freedom Ring" by Amy Stoffel. The fireworks are by Scraps by Jenn.
